BT Digital Phone Upgrades the impact on alarm signalling
You may have heard that BT are upgrading their phone network.
Today, telephone calls made over landlines are pretty much the only form of communication that travels over networks which have not been part of the digital revolution.
BT is upgrading their phone service in response to changing needs & demands because the analogue equipment that powers telephone services, are currently ageing & increasingly difficult to maintain.
Like all major Telcos around the world, BT is changing the way it provides phone services; upgrading it’s customers from existing analogue phone service to an enhanced digital service.
The first products and services were launched in late 2018 and BT intend to have all of its customers using digital telephones by 2025.
What is BT Redcare?
BT Redcare is the alarm signalling division of BT and many of our monitored systems use BT Redcare
System 9 Services is a Redcare approved company, and will be providing innovative, high quality products from BT Redcare to meet our customer’s needs to make the upgrade as smooth as possible.
System 9 Services will continue to ensure that all it’s monitored systems will continue to be backed up by our network monitoring centre which provides cover 24/7 & 365 days a year. Our engineers are ready to assist you if you encounter any problems.
What can I do as a customer?
Important Note: If any of our monitored intruder alarm system customers, change their phone provider, please let us know immediately as we may need to change the communicator-type in your system in order for it to function correctly.
