Digital recording has superseded analogue type video recorders and instead of a tape recorder with stacks of tapes we now use a harddrive system. Recording time on digital harddrive far exceeds that of vcrs and also makes the changing of tapes on a daily or weekly basis a thing of the past. Digital recording gives a far better resolution and perfect play back pictures time after time.
